Scioli: PJ elections strengthen the institution

Buenos Aires governor Daniel Scioli today praised the internal elections carried out by the peronist Justicialist Party (PJ), stating that the polls helped to strengthen institutional power in the provincial party organisation.

"I think that the elections are very important as a base to strengthen the institutions and the governability of political parties," the governor asserted, after casting his vote in the conurbation city of Benavídez.

Scioli also highlighted the "transformative power" and "enormous responsibility" that the JP possesses in Buenos Aires; "working with sensitivity with the most humble, those who do the hard work, aligning education with the new demands of the labour market."

In today's elections, La Matanza mayor Fernando Espinoza is running unopposed as president of the Buenos Aires JP organisation.
