Chaco governor confirms 2 dead in looting, clashes
The Governor of Chaco confirmed today that 2 people resulted killed following the violent clashes and looting that hit the Northern province these days. Two other people died but not as a result of this week’s serious incidents. “We had no support of the national security forces,” Bacileff Ivanoff complaint.
Addressing the press, Ivanoff took the opportunity to clarify the death tool in the province of Chaco: 23-year-old Ricardo Romero and deputy superintendent Cristián Vera, both wounded by gunshots. The other two victims, the governor explained, were not involved in the incidents.
“We had no support of the national security forces. The conflict in Chaco came later when the forces were already distributed across the nation. The Santa Fe (province) has 3,000 gendarmes. We faced a conflict of more than 1,000 armed men, some of them drunk and out of their minds. We have done everything humanly possible so that we did not have any victims,” the provincial leader said.
