Gov't, Córdoba agree on public debt refinancing

The cabinet chief announced the national administration and the province of Córdoba have “agreed on the refinancing of the provincial public debt for 2014.” Addressing reporters at the government house along with Governor De la Sota, Capitanich said both governments are working on a “bilateral agenda involving multiple issues.”

Following a private meeting, the head of ministers and the provincial leader held a press conference at the Casa Rosada presidential palace today.

Juan Manuel De la Sota considered the reunion “highly positive”. “We are here with a constructive and non-confronting spirit, we are here to unite and not to divide, looking for a way to understanding and solutions to the problems of the people of Córdoba who are also Aregntineans,” the governor said.

Regarding the debt dispute, Jorge Capitanich explained President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is personally analyzing the possibility of a "debt deferral,” a decision to be “surely informed” by the head of state.
