Entre Ríos gov't settles police conflict

With the Córdoba crisis spreading to other provinces over the past days, government of Entre Ríos managed to reach a salary agreement with the Concordia City police after a round of tense negotiations that lasted till last night.

Governor Sergio Urribarri himself was joined by Concordia bishop Luis Collazuol during talks with protest leaders. Base salary will be now of 8,434 pesos.

According to Government Minister Adán Bahl, the increase has been possible due to a “responsible administration of fiscal resources and a correct appreciation of the police service” and represents a “strong and just” salary hike.
