Looting, clashes in Chaco claim 4 dead
At least four people have been reported dead Chaco while provincial authorities raced against the clock to set a salary increase for striking police officers. Minimum wage will be now of 8,000 pesos in the home province of Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich.
Clashes between security forces and looters have allegedly resulted in the death of four people. Director of the Perrando Hospital Cristián Obregón confirmed two died after being wounded by gunshots. 23-year-old Ricardo Romero has been identified as one of the victims.
Chaco’s violent incidents also claimed the life of deputy superintendent Cristián Vera who was injured during Monday’s clashes.
