CFK cleared to fly after routine tests

Presidential spokesman Alfredo Scoccimarro has confirmed that president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has been cleared to resume aerial travel, after undergoing routine medical checks scheduled as part of her recovery from surgery.

In a short statement, Scoccimarro revealed the results of tests carried out today, and that a previous prohibition on travelling by air had been lifted by doctors.

"[The president] has carried out a new neuroimaging test with satisfactory results," the civil servant announced.

"Permission has been granted for aerial travel as well as a cardiological examination, which will take place next Wednesday."

The head of state had earlier left the Favaloro Foundation hospital, located in the City neighbourhood Monserrat, two months after the head of state was operated on to remove a subdural haematoma that had formed on her brain.
