AFIP announces monotributo hikes in medical insurance fees
“Tax administration” purposes and the need to guarantee the access to the health insurance service to an “increasing number” of beneficiaries were the reasons the AFIP tax bureau put forward to explain the hike in medical insurance for contributors under the monotributo or Small Taxpayer's Simplified Scheme.
The decision was made public in the official gazette today and takes 100-pesos contributions to 146 for service holders and from 50 to 73 pesos for each relative benefited by the regime. The new scheme will start on November 1.
“For tax administration reasons and the need to maintain the due financing of the National Health Insurance System and the National Medical Insurance Regime, it is advised to adjust payouts in order to guarantee the benefit to the increasing number of subjects that access to it”, the AFIP resolution reads and adds the decision follows the government’s “social inclusion” agenda.
