CFK spends 4th day in hospital, 'improves favourably'
As President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner remained hospitalized at the Fundación Favaloro clinic, presidential spokesman, today revealed the third medical report regarding the president's health since she was operated on and specified "Cristina improves favourably" and "controls were satisfactory."
The 60-year-old leader underwent surgery last Tuesday to have a subdural haematoma removed. After the surgery, the President was put under control of the Intensive Care Unit of the medical centre and then transferred to another floor where a “special unit” had been arranged for her.
In the meantime, Vice-President Amado Boudou has officially assumed as acting president not without criticism by the opposition leadership. Cabinet Chief Juan Manuel Abal Medina affirmed yesterday that Fernández de Kirchner continues to be the leader in charge of “decision making” with Boudou “executing” the Kirchner’s calls.
