Abal Medina says President's team 'solid' to run the country
Cabinet Chief Juan Manuel Abal Medina guaranteed today there will be no political or institutional crisis due to Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s health condition. “The president’ team is solid and working with no difficulty,” the official assured.
Following opposition criticism of Vice-president and now interim president of Argentina Amado Boudou, Abal Medina defended CFK’s “team” in charge of ruling the country while Ms. Kirchner recovers from a surgery she underwent yesterday at the Fundación Favaloro medical center. “The President’s team is governing without any difficulty. It is a very solid team. Government policies will be executed by her work team led by the vice-president (Amado Boudou),” the minister insisted as he pointed out medical reports that show head of state Fernández de Kirchner is expected to “recover favourably.”
“We are very happy with the results (of the surgery); it went out perfect,” Juan Manuel Abal Medina told reporters from a local radio station the day after Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was admitted into the Fundación Favaloro where she had a head operation for a subdual hematoma.
