'Like in Argentina, US opposition blackmails Obama over budget'
While heading a rally to inaugurate a maternity hospital in Ciudad Evita locality, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner dedicated some words to the US government shutdown and the Obamacare battle between Democrats and Republicans in Congress.
"We see that in the world's most developed country they are still discussing whether to provide with health care to millions of people," Cristina said adding the US opposition leaders "blackmail" the Obama administration when rejecting to pass the budget bill unless the president's health care bill was not included.
"They are blackmailing (therrpesident), something that happens many times here. The United States is today a country with no budget on the verge of default."
Buenos Aires Governor Daniel Scioli, and Victory Front’s Mayor Martín Insaurralde were participating in the ceremony.
The new hospital was named after Alberto Balestrini, a former vice governor of the province of Buenos Aires, who is recovering from a stroke he suffered back in 2010.
