'Gov't 'takes their money away,' Moyano explains teamsters' protest
The teamsters union will be marching on Monday to the health superintendence office because the government is “taking money away” from workers’s health plans, union leader Hugo Moyano said today.
The Secretary General of the anti-government CGT labour confederation splinter said the rally “was decided a month ago” as a result of the money the government takes away” from the health-care services paid by workers and deducted from their paychecks.
In that sense, Moyano accused the Cristina Fernández de Kirchner administration of failing to refund workers for HIV and cancer drugs as well as medicine for the handicapped and rejected versions that alluded Monday’s protest has been fueled by a recent report by the Public Prosecution allegedly denouncing illegal maneuvers in the administration of truck drivers’ health plans.
“The government is making fun not only of us but of society, any person with an inch of common sense would understand this is not true,” he told reporters.
