Taiana admits Kirchnerite failure to reach out for BA City citizens
Victory Front candidate running for a sit in BA City legislature Jorge Taiana said the government has sometimes failed to understand locals but considered the Kirchnerite electoral performance in Argentina’s capital city could be “improved.”
“Not always have we been able to understand” the City of Buenos Aires and its people, Taiana admitted in statements to a radio station as he insisted on the government’s “reconciliation” stance with BA voters.
Argentina’s capital has been “especially difficult” for the peronist movement and peronism is the political “center” of Kirchnerism, the ex Foreign Minister explained.
Meanwhile, Senator Daniel Filmus said the UNEN coalition led by opposition candidates Elisa Carrió and Pino Solanas “is finding it hard to consolidate the votes” it reached in August’s PASO primaries.
Filmus, who is seeking to renew his parliamentary sit in the upcoming legislative run, pointed out latest polls show that UNEN’s ballots will be capitalized instead by the PRO party headed by Buenos Aires city Mayor Mauricio Macri and the ruling Victory Front.
