US dollar jumps to 5.735 pesos
US dollar that is traded at banks and exchange offices climbed one cent to 5.735 pesos today. "Cave" greenbacks remain at 9.25 pesos. Despite last week’s half-cent drop –the first fall in 16 months- trends continued to show an uphill climb.
The so called “cave dollar” that trades in the parallel market remained steady at 9.22 pesos after jumping three cents yesterday.
Meanwhile, Buenos Aires stocks were edging up 2.27 percent with the Merval benchmark stock index reaching a new historic maximum peak at 4,494.93 points.
