One month after Rosario tragedy, Argentines rally to demand justice
Argentines mark today a sad date. A month ago, a building exploded and collapsed following a major gas leak in the Santa Fe province city of Rosario resulting in 21 people dead and 62 injured. Families and friends of the victims will rally tonight to pay tribute to their loved ones and demand justice.
At around 8 pm, the corner of Salta and Oroño streets in Rosario will become the assembling point for those commemorating the August 6 victims and marching to the Litoral Gas provider company many blame for the tragedy.
Demonstrators are expected to hold banners and white candles rallying in silence and joining also justice demands for the Once and Cromañon tragedies and the recent deadly floods in the city of La Plata, “accidents that could have been prevented.”
According to Rosario media, today’s protest will be echoed in other cities across the country under the slogans “All for All” and “This could happen to you.”
