Newly appointed Buenos Aires province Minister of Security Alejandro Granados said he will “rapidly put police in state of alert and action” to battle crime, an increasing worrying issue among society that has indeed forced Kirchnerites to go back the drawing board and redesign their electoral strategy after the PASO primaries' defeat.

A day after Buenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli announced Granados’s appointment to deal with a definitive hot spot matter, the now ex Mayor of the provincial district of Ezeiza assured he will seek to patrol al the streets in the province.

“We will try to rapidly put police in state of alert and action so that we can patrol all Buenos Aires province streets”, Granados told reporters and pointed out that the Ezeiza locality has the lowest crime rates in Scioli’s district.
