Mexican wins Anniversary GP
Mexican Juan Álvarez del Castillo, 22 years old, who has lived in Argentina for two years, yesterday earned his most important victory to date, the 104th Anniversary Grand Prix -Rolex Cup at the Club Hípico Argentino. With Puertas Coloredo, he was the only one of 24 competitors to finish faultfree the 1.50m double round.
Del Castillo, who was estatic with his triumph, said he had come to Argentina to train with Luis Biraben, runner-up with Abunola. Third went to Matías Albarracín, on JR Charming, followed by Martín Dopazo with Conrad Z and last year’s winner Leandro Moschini aboard Caballos Gama Zarello Z, allo of whom has one knockdown in the first leg and a clear performance in the second.
