Pérez blasts Massa's 'opportunism,' 'fleeting candidacy'
With Buenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli carrying upon his shoulders the campaign ahead of October’s legislative elections, his cabinet chief Alberto Pérez blasted opposition rival Sergio Massa. “Opportunistic” and short-lived, the provincial official said of Massa’s candidacy.
“(Massa) made a choice we do not share. I think he is a fleeting candidate who has shown great opportunism,” Pérez stated and questioned allies supporting the Tigre Mayor saying it is a “questionable” coalition “that came together with the only purpose of beating the government that made it grow.”
Sergio Massa, current Mayor of the Buenos Aires province locality of Tigre and cabinet chief during the first administration of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, launched the so called “Renewal Front” challenging Kirchnerism in August 11 PASO primaries and beating the government’s candidate in BA province Martín Insaurralde.
