Mangeri states he didn't murder Ángeles
The only suspect in the Ángeles Rawson murder Jorge Mangeri has stated himself innocent before the judge Javier Ríos, the lawyer Marcelo Biondi informed.
Mangeri reported in details on what had happened to him few hours before and after his detention. Mangeri reaffirmed, he was “illegally pressured” and forced to self-accusation.
“I didn’t kill her”, Mangeri said to Ríos. “I’ve never had any physical contact with her either that day, or any other”, reassured the suspect.
Additionally, Mangeri accused the judge of making up the case, as it was “full of contradictions”. “The entire case was focused on me, while the Ángeles’ closest circle has never been investigated”, Mangeri said in the end.
Jorge Mangeri was the superintendent of the building where the 16-year old victim lived with her family and where she disappeared from more than two month ago. Ángeles Rawson’s body was found at a CEAMSE sanitary waste landfill. Her remains were exhumed earlier this week to allow forensic teams to run further exams as current evidence has not yet proved how the adolescent was killed.
