Construction Chamber head praises CFK talks with business, union leaders
The head of the Argentine Chamber of Construction Gustavo Weiss came on stage today to give his opinion on yesterday’s summit between government officials, among them, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, and business and union leaders.
He assured they talked about “many topics” during the meeting, such as inflation, the exchange rate, and the income tax.
According to Weiss, the president said “the inflation was below 20 percent” although she admitted a raise of prices and costs depend on each sector. “Supermarkets inflation is not the same as inflation in construction,” he said. “If she said inflation is below 20 percent she implied it’s not of 9 percent either.”
Weiss considered the meeting called by the president in Santa Cruz was “absolutely interesting, important and friendly.” “It’s very important that the president brought together almost the entire cabinet, business chambers and unions to exchange ideas and listen to problems,” he added.
