CFK updated figures on support provided to La Plata floods victims

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner delivered a televised speech at the Government House where she updated figures of support provided to the victims of La Plata floods.

Fernández called on "political and judicial" authorities to of the Buenos Aires province to determine "precisely" the real nimber of the victims. She denounced authorities for not registering "the complete list of the death cases".

Additionally, President Fernández listed aid activities provided by ANSeS social security agency. She revealed a total number of 39,000 beneficiaries. She said, "56 percent of applied for the Government support already received their first and in some cases even second pay offs".

The total number of inqueries received by ANSES reached 82,174, according to the President. 70,436 out of them got different economic benefits depending on the damage and income conditions in every particular case. Fernández confirmed, 26 percent didn't receive economic support for "having higher incomes or getting other types of subsidies".

Regarding to the fatal cases, Fernández called on a "research" to know "the exact number of deaths".

Later, she thanked all citizens for their solidarity, participation and control in the distribution of aid.
