Gov't rejects CFK's mother 'evacuation story'
The Government rejected media versions that alleged Ofelia Wilhelm, the mother of President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, had to be evacuated to the Olivos presidential residence due to the tragic flood that hit La Plata where Ms.Wilhelm lives.
In an official statement, General Secretary to the Presidency Oscar Parrilli affirmed that the information about the president’s mother is “absolutely false and malicious.”
According to the official, Ofelia Wilhelm did not visit Olivos this week although she necessarily needs to “because Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is the president and there is where she lives.”
Directly targeting the local newspaper Perfil which published the Wilhelm’s story on Saturday, Parrilli said that “even the obvious must be explained when it comes to certain media.”
“Maybe we could stage a tent on Maipú Avenue or Libertador Avenue so that the President can receive her mother and relatives,” he added ironically.
