Argentina-Venezuela football match: One-minute silence to Chávez

Before the start of the Argentina-Venezuela match for the 2014 World Cup eliminatory round, a one-minute silence was observed to pay tribute to Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez who died earlier this month.

Some fans showed banners in support of the late leader at the RIver Plate football stadium. The commemorative move was requested by the Venezuelan Federation and authorized by the South American Footbal Confederation (Conmebol).
