French Sociologist Robert Castel dies at 79
French Sociologist Robert Castel
French Sociologist and Director of Studies at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) during the 90’s Robert Castel died at 79 in Vincennes, a town located outside Paris.
Castel –who was born on August 1st 1933 Saint-Pierre-Quilbignon and renowned for rethinking the 70’s psychiatry-, was reported to die on Tuesday although the official confirmation to international press was only released on Wednesday.
The Author of “The metamorphosis of the social question” was renowned for his studies over social inequality and wage system.
