New incidents registered in Junín after murder of 17-year-old
A young man was arrested in connection to the murder of 17-year-old Karen Campos, whose death sparked a population upraising in the town of Junín.
Official sources confirmed that the man was arrested in the same town while the authorities are still looking for another suspect.
The news came a few moments after an angry mob created new incidents in front of a local police station.
BA province police chief Hugo Matzkin arrived in Junín to try to reestablish order along with the Halcón special task force.
Close to one hundred people had gathered again in front of a police station to condemn a new murder in the city. As they marched on towards the station and burned tires, the police began shooting rubber bullets ate the crowd.
A few officers were shooting from the first floor of the building while Infantry tried to scatter the crowd in order to bring back calm.
The incidents were similar to the ones that took place early in the morning after the police confirmed the death of Campos.
The girl was murdered by a robber last night after 10 PM in a Villa Belgrano store, where she was working with another friend.
