Gas leak found at 9 de Julio Avenue

Buenos Aires City staff and fire-fighters blocked the traffic at 9 de Julio Avenue this afternoon due to a gas leak found at the Metrobús construction area.

The leak was registered at 6pm, when workers were at the intersection of 9 de Julio and Alsina.

Fire-fighters, Met police, Metrogas company workers and SAME medical assistance immediately blocked both ways of the Avenue and controlled the gas leak.

Due to the strong smell of gas, workers from the Social Development Ministry located nearby had to be evacuated.
