Use of public services climb 6.8%

The use of public services climbed 6.8 percent in January year-on-year, according to the Indec national statistics bureau.

Compared to the previous month, the sector dropped 1.5 percent.

The Public Services Synthetic Index was headed by the telephone services, which advanced 14.2 percent, followed by the electricity, gas and water sector, which climbed 2.9 percent.

Nevertheless, the public transport service dropped 4.7 percent after the hike in the tariffs. Besides, the tolls fell 4 percent.
