Arsenal beat Argentinos

Arsenal defeated Argentinos by 2-1 in the opening match of the third round of the Final Tournament held at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.

Arsenal's Julio César Furch opened the score at 20' of the second half, while his teammate Carlos Carbonero netted four minutes later.

The only goal of the local team was scored by Leandro Barrera 5' before the end of the game.

Argentinos Juniors: Nereo Fernández; Ariel Garcé, Matías Martínez, Aníbal Matellán and Diego Placente; Marcos Figueroa, Matías Laba, Gaspar Iñiguez and Juan Ramírez; Damián Villalva and Juan Luis Anangonó. Coach: Gabriel Schurrer.
