Del Potro eliminted in Marseilles' quarters

Title holder Juan Martín Del Potro was eliminated today in Marseilles' quarter-finals by sixth-seeded French Gilles Simon by 6-4 and 6-3.

Del Potro has lost his chance to be crowned once again in the Mediterranean city and Simon will now face French Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who has eliminated Australian Bernard Tomic by 4-6, 6-3 and 7-6 (12-10).

The other semi-final will face Czech Tomas Berdych and Russian Dmitry Tursunov.
