Teamsters union to lift supermarket blockade for 10 days
The teamsters union decided to lift the blockade to supermarket Maxiconsumo for ten days, while the the unionists leading the measure were identifued by a court order and the Government warned “will not tolerate these kind of abuses.”
The Hugo Moyano-led union decided to suspend the blockade following a request of the City Labour Under-Secretariat, where a hearing was held over the conflict involving the Teamsters Union and Maxiconsumo SA, regarding an agreement backed by the Labour Ministry which allowed logistics workers to belong to Moyano’s union.
Teamsters union secretary Pablo Moyano confirmed that they agreed on a 10 day truce but warned that despite the agreement the blockade could be extended to other supermarkets.
