Agriculture Minister summons Liaison Board members for separate meetings

Agriculture Minister Norberto Yauhar today called the rural organizations that conform the Liaison Board to separate meetings which will take place along three weeks in March.

According to sources, Yauhar summoned the head of the Inter-Cooperative Agriculture Confederation (Coninagro) on March 6, at 11 AM; the head of the Argentine Rural confederations (CRA) on March 13, the head of the Rural Society on March 20 and the head of the Agrarian Federation (FAA) on March 21.

The Liaison Board has been trying to obtain a meeting with Yauhar for over a year and the four separate invitations takes place amid the farmers threat to halt trade of soy to protest against export taxes.
