CFK suspends activities to attend mother-in-law's funeral

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner suspended all official activities scheduled to take place on Monday and Tuesday due to the passing of her mother-in-law, a statement released by the Government said.

In a brief communiqué, the Government said that “President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has suspended all activities scheduled to take place today and tomorrow for reasons of public knowledge.”

María Ostoic, mother of former President Néstor Kirchner, passed away on Sunday at 92 years old after falling ill at her daughter’s resident.

She will be buried in the Río Gallegos mausoleum along with her husband and son.
