Inflation climbs 1.1% in January, Indec reports

Inflation increased 1.1 percent in January compared to the volume registered in the previous month, Indec national statistics bureau reported.

The hike in prices was led by transport –as train and bus fares increased by 6.1 percent-.

January’s inflation rate is the highest since February 2010, and the second highest since the former president Néstor Kirchner’s administration intervened the national statistics bureau.
