Severe storm, floods hit City, BA province
The National Weather Forecast Service (SMN) warned about strong winds and heavy showers with a chance of hail in the east and north of the Buenos Aires province as well as the south of Santa Fe. Some areas were severely hit by flash floods.
Several city areas were under water after the heavy rains collapsed the sewage system. Neighbourhoods like Palermo and Belgrano registered floods.
The hardest hit areas were in the south of Santa Fe, including the cities of Rosario, San Nicolas de los Arroyos, San Pedro, Carmen de Areco, General Rodríguez and Marcos Paz.
At the west of the Buenos Aires province, a strong storm unleashed over Merlo, Ituzaingó and Castelar for approximately ten minutes, leaving many streets flooded.
