'Price freezing shows inflation is shooting up,' Lescano

Oscar Lescano

Energy workers union leader Oscar Lescano criticized the freezing of prices accord between the Government and supermarkets and home appliances stores.

“This that the Government is doing through Trade Secretary Guillermo Moreno is a way of admitting that inflation is shooting up,” Lescano, a member of the pro-Government CGT, said during an interview.

Nonetheless, Lescano downplayed the accord’s importante due to the fact “that economic variables change and inflation increases. Everybody’s wondering whether if on day 61 the supermarkets will be able to increase prices all they want”

“It should be extended at least for year to all the prices of basic need products of the family basket.”
