Power consumption hits new record

The heat wave that currently affects Buenos Aires City, province and other provinces, led to a new record of daily power consumption after reaching the 455.7 gigawatts (Gwh) registered on Wednesday, the Federal Planning Ministry reported today.

This volume adds to the record achieved today, when it has hit 21.982 megawatts at 2:30 pm, the government detailed.

Despite the blackouts denounced by Buenos Aires City and province users during the last hours, the Ministry stated in a communiqué that "the system is working normally with more than 2,500 megawatts in reserve."
