Met Service issues Orange alert as high temperaturas persist

The National Met Service (SMN) has upgraded the weather warning issued for extreme heat, from yellow to orange. Temperatures are expected to range between 25 and 36 degrees throughout today.

The weather forecasting service said that the high temperatures are expected to continue through tomorrow in Buenos Aires City and the province, with highs of 36 degrees and lows of 25 and cloudy skies.

An orange alert is issued in order to warn people to take extra care, as high temperatures can cause risks to people’s health, particularly in small children under 5, adults over 65 years old and people suffering from chronic illnesses.
