Supermarket sales soar 26.3% in 2012

Supermarket sales rose 26.3 percent in 2012 against the volume registered in the previous year, according to the Indec national statistics bureau.

The sales also climbed 14.1 percent in December compared to the volume registered during the same month in 2011.

Besides, the official agency reported that the transactions have also increased against the previous month, soaring 27.5 percent.
