Met Service issues Yellow Alert as city temperatures soar
The National Met Service (SMN) has issued a yellow alert due to the persistent high temperatures in the city of Buenos Aires and surrounding areas.
A yellow alert is issued in order to warn the public of the health risks high temperatures can bring, especially to babies and small children and people over the age of 65, or those suffering from any kind of chronic disease.
Temperatures hit highs of 36 degrees in the capital city and tomorrow’s forecast sees a maximum of 37 degrees and a minimum temperature of 23 degrees Celsius.
Forecasters said that on Thursday, the temperature could reach highs of 38 degrees.
That said, the weather is expected to cool slightly on Friday, as rain has been forecasted.
