Recalde supports constitutional amendment for re-reelection
Victory Front lawmaker Héctor Recalde stated that he stands in favour of a constitutional amendment that allows President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner to seek a third term in office, although he clarified that he would only moved forward with it “if the population decided it” first.
“Some say it’s unconstitutional. Obviously the constitution does not allow the President to be reelected. What is important is that people decide when the time comes and that she accepts (to run again). I would vote in favour of it for a thousand different reasons and if the population decides so, the constitution will be just,” he said.
He also called “for the expansion of the model’s inclusive and workers’ rights recovery policies.”
