Rosario derby suspended after hooligans clash with police
The derby between Rosario Central and Newell’s Old Boys, originally scheduled for 8 pm in Rosario, was suspended by the provincial Ministry of Security after hooligans clashed with the police, leaving an officer seriously injured.
The decision to call off the game was announced by Security Minister Raúl Lamberto, in response to the incidents thattook place in the Independencia Park, where Newell’s hooligans clashed with the police after running into a bus filled with holligans from Rosario Central.
According to official sources, a police officer was severely injured and is currently undergoing surgery after being shot in the neck.
Several hooligans were also injured in the clash.
