CFK meets with Vietnam's president and business leaders

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner arrived in Hanoi today, the capital of Vietnam, bringing to an end her official tour to the Middle East and southern Asia.

The presidential tour had begun on January 13 in the United Arab Emirates, followed by a visit to Indonesia.

In Hanoi, the president met with the Vietnamese head of state Truong Tan Sang, to celebrate the 40 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which started in 1973.

Both leaders discussed possible agreements on biotechnology, agriculture, and nuclear energy.

The Argentine leader said both head of states “shared a very wide agenda which included industrial, scientific and commercial activities in which both nations could focus to deepen the relationship.”

After the meeting with Vietnam's president, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner met with 19 business leaders.
