Five dead, 11 injured in 5-car pile up on Route 11

Five people died and eleven were injured in a five-car pile-up along Route 11, between the neighbourhoods of Conesa and General Lavalle in Buenos Aires province.

Three people died instantly, while other two died on the way to the hospital in Mar de Ajó, sources said.

The accident took place at 7.30 am on kilometre 282 of Route 11, at 20 kilometres from beach resort of San Clemente del Tuyú.

Buenos Aires province police officers and firefighters assisted the victims.
