President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was meeting with Vietnamese political leader Le Hoang Quang at the presidential palace in Ho Chi Minh, during the last stop of her Asian tour.

As the meeting began, Fernández de Kirchner expressed “her admiration for the wonderful plight of your people as they search for independence” and highlighted the links between both countries.

The Vietnamese Government official highlighted "Argentina and Latin America's support towards Vietnam, which helped to stregthen ties with the world and to develop our economy."

Earlier today, the Head of State visited the Cu Chi tunnels, which are considered a symbol of the Vietnamese resistance against the US invasion in the sixties.

"Above all I saw the love the Vietnamese have for their country and their love for peace, because nobody who loves their country loves war. And only peace allows growth,"  Fernández de Kirchner assured as she exited the tunnels.
