De Vido meets with Maduro in Venezuela
Federal Planning Minister Julio De Vido met today with Venezuelan vice-president Nicolás Maduro in Caracas, with whom he agreed to deepen a series of accords between both countries.
During the meeting, both Government officials agreed to strengthen Venezuela’s food provision and guarantee the Argentine people’s energetic security,” De Vido assured. Earlier, he met with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Elías Jaua.
“We talked about regional problems and we explained our vision of strengthening Venezuelan food provision and Argentine energetic security,” he said during a press conference.
“We need to increase Argentine exports of rice, milk and poultry to fulfill Venezuela’s need for these kind of foods,” added.
Earlier, he met with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Elías Jaua
After meeting with President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner a few days ago in Havana, where she flew to learn about Hugo Chávez’s condition, the President urged De Vido to “move forward and expand” agreements with Venezuela, the minister assured.
