De Vido lands in Venezuela to sign trade agreements

Federal Planning Minister Julio De Vido.

Federal Planning Minister Julio De Vido arrived in Caracas, Venezuela, to meet with Vice-President Nicolás Maduro “as directed” by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

De Vido is looking to meet with Maduro at 6:30 pm (Argentina time), along with Venezuela’s Foreign Minister Elías Jaua and theArgentine ambassador to Caracas, CarlosCheppi.

Ministry sources explained that, after the meeting held between the President and Maduro in Havana this week, Fernández asked De Vido to “advance and expand the bilateral ties in matters of energy and food.”
