Nalbandian joins Davis Cup injury list?
Argentina’s Davis Cup team injury list grows by the minute. Now David Nalbandian joins Eduardo Schwank, Leo Mayer, Carlos Berlocq, and Juan Mónaco, after sources informed the world’s former top-ten could have torn his right leg soleus muscle. Argentina is to host Germany on February 1-3 at Parque Roca stadium in BA City
With Schwank suffering from his right wrist, Mayer with a burnt hand after playing with fire-works on New Year’s eve, Berlocq’s constant muscular contractions, and Mónaco’s warning fatigue signs triggered on his debut and exit in the Australian Open, chances of advancing to the next round are quite complicated as to the injury list the team’s captain Martín Jaite had recently added Juan Martín del Potro’s decision of not representing Argentina this year and rather focus on the ATP tour.
Nalbandian (ranked 83th), could have a torn right leg soleus muscle and the recovery will take about 15 days.
However, representatives of the Argentine Tennis Association informed that Nalbandian “is just suffering from a “slight discomfort” but nothing serious.
