CTA's Yasky hopes income tax floor is raised 'before April'

CTA umbrella union boss Hugo Yasky assured today that he hopes that the income tax floor hike is achieved before April, following a meeting with Labour Minister Carlos Tomada today.

He also confirmed that he told Tomada that the umbrella union plans to request a  25 percent increase in wages for 2013.

Yasky also mentioned that he adressed Tomada his concerns over the fact that 34 percent of Argentine workers are unregistered.

“It was three months ago at the Salary Council when we concluded that the minimum raise we should seek for in 2013 was of 25.7 percentage points.”

Yasky also explained that the 25 percent salary hike “is just a reference figure, meaning that many unions might ask for more while some other in a better situation could close deals below somewhere that.”
