Bike's Casteu loses top after crashing into a cow
France''s David Casteu.
French Cyril Despres (KTM) won the bike's ninth stage of the Rally Dakar 2013, as the former leader David Casteu crashed into a cow and lost 20 minutes.
The accident of the Yamaha driver led to a delay and a shoulder injury, but was not severe, and could resume the competition.
The ninth stage covered 852 kilometres route from San Miguel de Tucumán to Córdoba province, and counted with 593 special kilometres.
Despres completed the stage in 5 hours, 41 minutes and 36 second, leading over Spaniard Joan Barreda Bort by 4'03'' and 5'14'' from Italian Alessandro Botturi.
