CFK in Abu Dhabi, first stop of Asian tour
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner arrived to the United Arab Emirates in the first stop for her Asian tour which includes visits to Vietnam and Indonesia as part of an eleven day-long official trip. CFK first visit was to Havana, Cuba, where she met with family members of ailing Venezuelan leader Hugo Chávez.
Fernández arrived in company of Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman, Agriculture Minister Norberto Yahuar, and Public Communications secretary Alfredo Sccoccimarro.
On Saturday, the Head of State arrived in Havana, Cuba, where she met with relatives of her Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chávez, who is hospitalized in delicate condition following a December 11th cancer surgery.
Fernández de Kirchner also held a lunch with Cuban president Raúl Castro and his brother and former Cuban leader Commander Fidel Castro.
