Subte A's 100-year-old carriages bid farewell

The one-hundred-year-old subterranean train carriages on the A line of the Buenos Aires Subte complete their last day of service today.

There are some 70 carriages out of the original fleet which come to the end of their run today, out of an original total of 120 carriages, built by La Brugeoise, Nicaise et Delcuve between 1912 and 1919 in Belgium.

Line A was the first subway line to work in the southern hemisphere and its trains were among the ten oldest still working daily.
